The athletes from Run Baby Run Track Club have delivered stellar performances at the AAU Region 19 Qualifier, earning them coveted spots in the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina, from July 27 to August 3, 2024. Here are the highlights of their achievements and qualification statuses:
Meadow Behnke:
- 1500m: Meadow secured 2nd place with a time of 6:19.87, earning her a spot at the AAU Junior Olympics.
- 3000m: She also claimed 2nd place with an impressive time of 13:50.16, qualifying her for another event at the Junior Olympics.
JW Hernandez:
- 1500m: JW finished in 8th place with a time of 6:19.61, narrowly missing the top five qualifying spots.
- 3000m: He achieved 2nd place with a time of 13:17.89, securing his qualification for the Junior Olympics. (see JW below after his award ceremony)
Jaxon Canady:
- 1500m: Jaxon earned 4th place with a strong finish at 5:50.29, qualifying him for the Junior Olympics.
- 800m: Jaxon finished in 9th place with a time of 2:57.58, showcasing his versatility and endurance.
Jazmin Harrison:
400m: Jazmin claimed 3rd place with a time of 1:06.03, qualifying her for the Junior Olympics.
- 800m: Jazmin secured 4th place with a time of 2:48.03, earning her another spot at the Junior Olympics. (See Jaxon and Jazmine below showing off their hardware)
Coaching and Community Support:
